Zeer geconcentreerde Bordeaux met mooie houtinvloed.
Robijnrood met in de neus veel fruit, met name zwarte bes, bramen, grafiet en wat toast, vanille en kruidigheid van het hout. In de mond een zeer zachte aanzet met krachtige maar mooie tannines en milde zuren.
Geclassificeerd in 1868 door 'Féret and Cocks' als Cru Bourgeois.
