Coenecoop Wine Traders was founded in 1991 by Jaap Grootmeijer and quickly grew into a reliable trading partner thanks to a small, dedicated team. A strategic partnership with DGS Wijnkopers allowed administrative and logistical tasks to be handled by DGS. This enabled Coenecoop to continue growing and operating successfully with an efficient and flexible approach.
In 2007, Coenecoop made the decision to fully specialize in organic wines. That same year, the company joined the Delta Wines holding, which also includes leading labels such as DGS WIJN, Pallas Wines, and Global Wine Operations. This step marked a significant milestone, allowing Coenecoop to develop into the market leader in sustainably produced wines.
Today, Coenecoop Wine Traders operates under the Delta Wines umbrella in Waddinxveen, alongside DGS Wijn, Pallas Wines, and Global Wine Operations.
