Montepulciano met veel fruit en zachte bitters, zuren en tannines. Mooie tonen van rijp rood fruit.
De Montepulciano druiven worden op pergola wijze verbouwd, wijngaarden liggen op gemiddeld 300-450 hoogte. Tijdens de vinificatie hanteert men schilinweking voor een kleine 20-25 dagen waardoor een fraaie concentratie van fruit ontstaat. Deels krijgt de wijn houtopvoeding.
