Montes is een van de meest invloedrijke en vooruitstrevende wijnproducenten van Chili. Sinds de oprichting in 1987 werken zij vanuit één duidelijke missie: laten zien dat Chili wijnen van absolute wereldklasse kan maken. Wat begon als de visie van vier pioniers, groeide uit tot een internationaal toonaangevend wijnhuis, bekend om innovatie, respect voor de natuur en constante kwaliteit.
Met vijf wijngaarden in Curicó en Colchagua Valley (circa 600 hectare) profiteert Montes van een unieke combinatie van zon, hoogte en bodemdiversiteit. Als pionier in steile aanplant en gravitationele wijnbouw creëren zij een perfecte balans tussen natuur en vakmanschap en dat proef je terug in elke wijn.

Montes Alpha
Montes Alpha is Montes’ classic premium line. The wines are elegant and balanced, featuring ripe fruit, refined tannins, and a clear expression of their Chilean origins. The result is a consistent, recognizable style that is appreciated worldwide.
Montes Alpha Special Cuvée
Special Cuvée takes the classic Montes Alpha style to the next level thanks to stricter grape selection and refined oak aging. The wines exhibit greater depth, structure, and complexity, with layers of ripe fruit, spices, and subtle oak. As a result, they offer a more luxurious and intense interpretation of the Montes signature style
Montes Limited Selection
Limited Selection focuses on wines from cool coastal regions such as Aconcagua and Casablanca, where the climate produces lively acidity and aromatic freshness. The style is modern, juicy, and elegant, with a strong emphasis on terroir expression.
Montes Outer Limits
Outer Limits pushes the boundaries of Chilean winemaking—both literally and figuratively—with extreme terroirs such as Zapallar and Itata. Here, wines are crafted with a distinct character: mineral, lively, and full of tension. The influence of wind, ocean mist, and high altitude results in pure, energetic flavors. It is Montes’ most experimental line.
Montes Folly
Montes Folly is one of Chile’s first ultra-premium Syrahs, sourced from the steepest slopes of the Apalta Valley. The wine is impressively powerful, rich, and intensely aromatic, featuring dark fruit, spices, and a velvety texture. Thanks to low yields and hand-selection, quality is the top priority.
Montes Purple Angel
Purple Angel is Montes’ iconic Carmenère and is regarded worldwide as one of the finest interpretations of this grape variety. The wine is lush, deep, and concentrated, with notes of black fruit, chocolate, and spices. The combination of Carmenère and a small amount of Petit Verdot gives the wine extra structure and length. Purple Angel embodies luxury, elegance, and Chilean power.
Montes Alpha M
Alpha M is Montes’ flagship wine and is produced only in exceptional vintages. It is a classic Bordeaux blend from the finest plots in Apalta, offering tremendous depth, ripeness, and aging potential. The wine is aged in new French oak, which lends it complexity, structure, and an elegant character.
