Estate Series
The Estate Series showcases the essence of Marlborough in its purest form. For this series, Misty Cove selects grapes from various subregions, including the Wairau, Waihopai, and Awatere Valleys, each with its own character and influence on the wine. The unique combination of a cool climate, abundant sunshine, and diverse soil types results in wines with lively freshness, intense fruit aromas, and a distinct regional identity. The Estate Series consists of approachable and expressive wines. Landmark Series
The Landmark Series is at the heart of Misty Cove’s premium collection. For these wines, the focus is entirely on the unique characteristics of specific vineyards and terroirs within Marlborough. Inspired by traditional European winemaking techniques, the wines are produced in small batches, with the goal of expressing the character of their origin as purely as possible. Each wine tells the story of its vineyard and reflects the influence of soil, climate, and craftsmanship. The result is a refined collection offering greater depth, complexity, and expression, crafted especially for connoisseurs who wish to discover the unique character of Marlborough.
Limited Series
Limited Series represents the most exclusive and experimental segment of Misty Cove. For these wines, only the finest grapes are selected from carefully chosen plots, with yields deliberately kept low to achieve maximum concentration, complexity, and quality. The wines are produced in very limited quantities and are highly dependent on the unique conditions of each vintage. Within the Limited Series, winemakers are given full freedom to innovate and explore new ideas—such as distinctive blends, unique grape varieties, or special winemaking techniques that do not fit within the regular collections. Organic
The Organic wine showcases how Misty Cove combines quality and sustainability. These certified organic wine is produced from grapes grown in carefully managed vineyards in the Wairau Valley, where respect for nature is paramount. By avoiding synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers, the grapes are allowed to express their terroir in a pure and authentic way. The combination of Marlborough’s sunny climate, distinctive soils, and organic viticulture results in wines with intense aromatic expression and a distinct character.

A little different
Since its founding, Misty Cove has deliberately chosen an innovative approach. The winery experiments with lesser-known grape varieties like Albariño and Grüner Veltliner from New Zealand. But also with unique blends, and innovative techniques, such as using acacia wood alongside traditional oak barrels. This results in wines that are just a little different from what you’d expect.
