Wine Woman of the Year 2026
On April 23, at Royal Leerdam, the second nominee for Wine Woman of the Year 2026 was announced: Esther Zwanink Stevens. The announcement took place during an event centered on craftsmanship, wine experience, and inspiration. The nominees for Wine Woman of the Year are selected annually for their knowledge, vision, and passion for the Dutch wine world. According to the jury, Esther Zwanink demonstrates the versatility and professionalism of the sector. In her role as Sales Manager, wine educator, and upcoming Magister Vini, she combines commercial insight with in-depth wine knowledge and a strong focus on education.
Glass, wine, and experience
The announcement took place at Royal Leerdam, which celebrates its 250th anniversary this year. During the evening, guests received an exclusive tour of the glass factory, followed by a glass tasting. It was demonstrated how the shape of a wine glass influences aroma and taste.
