The classic Loureiro from Ameal receives praise again for its purity, tension, and salt-mineral touch. At first glance, deliciously direct and drinkable, but don't underestimate it: in a top year like 2024, it can easily age for twenty years. Light-footed yet serious at the same time.

⭐ Quinta do Ameal Solo Único 2024 – 93 points

Originating from a specific vineyard (Marejão) on granite soils, fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts. According to Gutiérrez, this wine is more subtle, elegant, and harmonious, with slightly less tension but more calmness and refinement. 

⭐ Quinta do Ameal Bico Amarelo Tinto 2024 – 91 points

Special: possibly the first red wine of the estate. Made from local varieties such as Padeiro, Espadeiro, and Borraçal, with a distinctly Atlantic profile. Light in color, finely spicy, and very drinkable. Gutiérrez even explicitly calls it “a bargain”.

⭐ Quinta do Ameal Bico Amarelo Branco 2025 – 90 points

The entry-level wine of the house shows how seriously Quinta do Ameal also approaches its larger volumes. Fresh, citrus-driven, and aromatic, with the recognizable Loureiro signature. A wine that according to the reviewer perfectly reflects the house style.
