Developments in worldwide transportation costs
Waddinxveen, March 2026 — The global logistics market has been under increasing pressure since the beginning of this month. Due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and highly variable capacity and pricing policies among logistics partners, transport costs for both incoming and outgoing flows are noticeably rising.
At Delta Wines, we are monitoring these developments daily. The rising costs impact the entire logistics process: from international shipping to regional distribution. Several shipping companies and carriers are currently applying highly fluctuating rates, making planning and cost management more challenging than before.
For now, no passing on costs to customers
Despite the rising rates, we have chosen not to pass on the increasing transport costs to our customers at this time. We consider it important to offer stability and continue our services without interruption.
But be aware: the situation can change
Should the current situation persist or escalate further, this may have consequences in the long term. The cost increases cannot be fully borne by Delta Wines indefinitely.
