Delta Wines and Chefs in the Woods Join Forces for a Gastronomic Future
Amsterdam – Taste, innovation, and a strong vision for the future come together this summer in the Amsterdamse Bos. Chefs in the Woods and Delta Wines are joining forces for an partnership during the second weekend of the prestigious culinary festival. Through this close collaboration, both parties are combining their strengths to elevate the total wine experience to a higher level, with Delta Wines taking full charge of the wine presentation. In doing so, the festival and the wine importer collectively strengthen their shared focus on high-quality gastronomy, quality, and a sustainable future.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Chefs in the Woods, an initiative from the creators behind the Amsterdam Wine Festival and Fête du Champagne, connects refined gastronomy with sustainability in a relaxed, musical festival setting. The choice for Delta Wines as a partner is therefore a logical step. As a crucial link between international wine producers and Dutch gastronomy, the importer actively builds the wine world of tomorrow.
"We are extremely proud to have Delta Wines as our exclusive wine partner for the second weekend," says Gijs Zwijnenburg, partner of Chefs in the Woods. "They play an important role in the sector, respond to current trends, and take the future of the wine world seriously. That's exactly the attitude and vision we were looking for."
"For us, Chefs in the Woods is the place where everything comes together," adds Dennis Suikerbuik, commercial director at Delta Wines. "Here we show what we stand for: quality, depth, and a strong gastronomic portfolio. We not only want to serve wine but also truly involve guests and partners in the story behind our wines and producers.”
The Wine World of Tomorrow: Conscious Choices and Innovation
By being exclusively responsible for the wine presentation in the second weekend (excluding Champagne and Port), Delta Wines positions itself explicitly as the curator of the total wine experience. There's a clear focus on the future.
"The choices we make today determine the wine world of tomorrow," states Suikerbuik. "We see a new generation of wine enthusiasts emerging who choose more consciously: less, but better. This demands quality, transparency, and a broader range. Therefore, we invest not only in premium wines but also specifically in a strong non-alcoholic portfolio that is a full-fledged part of the gastronomic experience."
At the same time, the event offers an excellent opportunity to connect relationships and new partners with producers and the range in an inspiring way. Sustainability plays a key role here. Many of Delta Wines' producers work daily on sustainable viticulture, with attention to regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, and responsible vinification in the cellar.
"Producers like Esporão and Montes are true pioneers in this. These choices determine what the wine world will look like in 2050," says Suikerbuik.

With this partnership, Suikerbuik and Zwijnenburg together set the tone for a unique festival edition where taste, experience, and responsible entrepreneurship take center stage.
